The Devkit

I'm providing this devkit as it fixes up some of the issues with the original one that I described on the Modelling page.

Here's what I've fixed:

  • The models are weighted correctly. 1:1 with the inworld bodies
  • The armature animation is too short and starts too early
  • Added a text document within the blend file that explains export settigns
  • All the provided parts are in the same file and rotated correctly

Things that are NOT fixed:

  • I did not include face data. Each face is it's own seperate...island? Within the same mesh. You can merge by distance if you wish
  • The right lower arm is still weird. Copy that vertex group to the right elbow and remove right lower arm to fix
  • There is no UV data. This cannot be included without allowing reuploads
  • Still no avastar. You'll learn to do the workflow yourself

How to use it

Here I'll try to explain how things work. Maybe even have a tutorial for you to follow where you'll end up making something simple for the AA body
